About The Programme:

The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme is an initiative to The Tata Capital Limited to support the higher education of students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society. Under this scholarship programme, the students studying in classes 6 to 12 or undergraduate (general and professional) degree programmes will be provided with financial support to fulfil their academic dreams.

Tata Capital Limited is a renowned financial services company of Tata Group. As part of its CRS (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative, the company has introduced their scholarship program to bring about a positive change in the society by supporting the education of deserving and needy students. The company runs several CRS initiatives in the areas of Education, Skill Development, Environment and Health.

The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme 2022-23 for Class 6 to 12 students:

Eligibility Criteria:

• An applicant must be studying in classes 6 to 12 at a recognized educational institution in India.
• They must have scored at least 60% marks in the preceding class.
• The annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 4,00,000 from all sources
• Children of employees of Tata Capital & Buddy4Study are not eligible.
• Open for Indian nationals only.

Scholarship Benefits:

Up to 80% of tuition fees paid by students or up to INR 12,000 (whichever is less)

Required Documents:

• Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card)
• Passport size photograph
• Income proof (Form 16A/income certificate from government authority/ Salary slips etc.)
• Proof of admission (school/college ID Card/ bonafide certificate etc.)
• Current academic year fee receipt
• Bank account details of the scholarship applicant (cancelled cheque/ passbook copy)
• Marksheets or grade card of preceding class
• Disability & Caste Certificate (if applicable)

The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme 2022-23 for Undergraduate Courses:

Eligibility Criteria:

• An applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme like B.Com, BSc, BBA, BA, diploma, polytechnic etc at a recognized institution in India.
• They must have scored at least 60% marks in the preceding class.
• The annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 4,00,000 from all sources
• Children of employees of Tata Capital & Buddy4Study are not eligible.
• Open for Indian nationals only.

Scholarship Benefits:

Up to 80% of tuition fees paid by students or up to INR 20,000 (whichever is less).

Required Documents:

• Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card)
• Passport size photograph

• The annual family income must be less than or equal to INR 4,00,000 from all sources

Ans:- The selection of scholars for ‘The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme’ will be made based on their academic merit and financial background. It involves a multi stage process as detailed below

• Initial shortlisting of applicants based on their academic merit and financial background
• Telephonic interview of shortlisted candidates
• Final interview by a selection committee for final selection

Note: 50% of seats are reserved for girls. Also, weightage will be given to SC/ST/ disabled students

Q2. What is the criteria for renewal of this scholarship?

Ans:- This is a one time scholarship programme. Its renewal lies at the discretion of the scholarship provider
