NEW DELHI: The camaraderie between MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina is well-known in the cricketing world. They share a bond that goes beyond the pitch, often seen in their off-field friendship.
During a heartfelt discussion, Raina shared that Dhoni had expressed his enjoyment of the Bhojpuri commentary in the current IPL 2024 season. This conversation took place while Raina was assisting the former CSK captain at the Wankhede Stadium.
On Sunday, Raina proved to be a true friend to Dhoni, as he helped his former captain, who was not feeling well, make his way through the Wankhede Stadium after the IPL 2024 El Clasico match between CSK and Mumbai Indians.

Dhoni has been grappling with a persistent knee issue. During the intense encounter against their fierce competitors, MI, his left leg was tightly wrapped, indicating the severity of his condition.
As the match concluded, Raina was observed assisting Dhoni as he descended the stairs, a testament to the discomfort he was experiencing in the aftermath of the game.
Raina recently revealed an interesting exchange he had with Dhoni about the Bhojpuri commentary in IPL 2024.

“MS Dhoni was discussing Bhojpuri commentary. He said, ‘Bahut hi gajabe commentary kar rahe Bhojpuriya me.’ I told him Haryanwi is also nice,” Raina said while speaking on JioCinema.
CSK bowling consultant Eric Simmons on Monday admitted Dhoni has been struggling with his knee injury but he has battled it bravely while not showing any pain.
“Everyone else is more interested in his injuries than he is. He’s one of the hardest men I’ve ever come across. I don’t even think we know to what extent he may or may not be in pain. He just carries on and does his thing,” he said.
“I’m sure there’s some niggles. He just has that ability to ignore what it is and do what needs to be done. We’re more concerned about his injuries. When I say we, I mean the public (which) is more concerned about his injuries than he is,” Simmons added.
